The HKICPA's 50th anniversary is a momentous occasion for the Institute and represents a significant milestone for the Hong Kong and its development as an international financial centre. We are thrilled to celebrate our storied history with members of the Institute as well as the public.
On our dedicated 50th anniversary website, you will find information and resources about the history of the HKICPA and upcoming events, as well as acknowledgement towards the wonderful support the HKICPA has received from its stakeholders. We hope that this website will inspire you to continue supporting our mission to promote excellence in the accounting profession and to join our celebratory events.
The celebrations kicks off with an electrifying HKICPA 50th Anniversary Cup horse racing event in June. It is the first event of the celebrations and one of the horse races on the day is dedicated to commemorating the occasion. With a fantastic exclusive view of the horse racing track, the events is an opportunity for members to immerse themselves in the exciting atmosphere of galloping horses while enjoying an exquisite meal in each other's company.
This event will be followed by the prestigious CPA Congress in July that will feature an ensemble of world class guests and speakers. With the theme "Creating a Pathway to Advancement: Empowering Enterprises for the Future", the CPA Congress will be an excellent opportunity for attendees to gain insights into the latest trends and innovations that are on the global agenda for enterprises of all shapes and sizes, and is a must-attend event for professionals and business leaders looking to stay ahead of the curve.
Our celebrations will culminate in a gala dinner at the end of the year which we hope to be an unforgettable evening of celebration and recognition. The event will shine a spotlight on our most esteemed members and will be a glamorous affair to celebrate the past, present, and future of the HKICPA. There will be something for everyone, so do not miss your chance to take part as a proud member of the Institute.
Of course, our celebrations are not limited to these three flagship events. For example, our flagship magazine, A Plus, has introduced the 50th Anniversary Interview Series which features Institute members who have achieved admirable success in their respective fields. In these articles, interviewees share about their experience with the Institute and impart words of encouragement to the next generation of CPAs. Be sure to check it out.
